Project Dark - ...and it was black (2007)

Milled Pavement Records

Project Dark hails from Portland, Maine and consists of producer 'Moshe' & writer 'Syn The Shaman (aka KGB)'. On Milled Pavement Records, this album is poetic, dark, dirty, dreamy and tells a bitter tale of Love, Hate & Murder. This joint is loaded with creepy movie themes, excellent production and tons of originality... it's dank and ready to blaze!. This album features a remix by alias (anticon), and guest appearances by Todd 'the Rocket' Richard & Patrick Johnson (Miss Fairchild), Kristina Kentigian (formerly K Soul), Sontiago (Endemik Music) & DJ Rew. Fans of Anticon and fans of hip hop in general NEED to check these guys out... you will NOT be let down. If you like it ... and you will .... make sure to support the artist and buy it !.

This album is off the hook!, a hearty stew!, with many musical elements at play here including blues, hip hop, rock, trip hop, metal, turntablism, jazz, breaks, even some good ol' campfire folk elements. There is definitely something on this album for everyone, as for me, I'm a pig ... I ate it all.
